Origami Black As Night Over Sea is a time-based experiential installation raising awareness about Southern Resident Killer Whales. The project includes large scale water color paintings of killer whales, a video projection which ping-pongs between reasons to love Orcas and reasons why they’re in danger, and finally an interactive station where viewers can make their own origami orca complete with a QR code linking to a list of resources improving the lives of Southern Resident Killer Whales.
